

Erratic driving ends in two arrests, cocaine seizure

A traffic complaint ends with two arrests, an impaired charge, and cocaine seizure.
Shortly after 8 am on December 13, Nottawasaga OPP were alerted to a pickup truck swerving on and off Hwy 89, west of Cookstown.
"Officers located the vehicle a short time later and conducted a traffic stop on Dunham Drive in Alliston," according to police. "As a result of the investigation, officers arrested the driver for impaired driving. Officers also seized a small quantity of suspected cocaine from the vehicle.
The driver, a 52-year-old from Courtice, is charged with:
• Operation while impaired - blood drug concentration
• Possession of - cocaine
• Driving while under suspension
The passenger, a, 20-year-old, from Bowmanville, is charged with:
•Possession - cocaine.
The driver is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford at a later date to answer to the charges.
